Wisdom Academy FAQ


Q: How long will I have access to the course once I enroll?

A: When you are enrolled in a Wisdom Academy course, you’ll have unlimited online access to teachings that you can return to as often as you’d like. With the Wisdom Academy you can learn at your own pace and on your own timeframe. If you are taking a course as an Wisdom Experience All-Access member, you’ll be able to access Wisdom Academy courses while your membership is valid.

Q: Can I download the videos and watch them later?

A: For security reasons, videos cannot be downloaded and must be watched online with an internet connection—but there are no time constraints as to when you must watch them. You will be able to download PDFs of readings and MP3s of guided audio meditations to read and listen to offline.

Q: I live in a different time zone / want to start this course after its launch date. Can I still participate?

A: Yes! You can log in and take part in the course anytime. While the course is initially “live” just after launch while lessons release weekly, the discussion forums will remain active. Once a lesson has been released you can take part in it anytime.

Q: How can I customize my Wisdom Academy profile?

A: To edit your profile, sign in here. Log in with the user name and password you created when purchasing the course, and click on your name in the top right corner of the navigation bar. You’ll see links there to edit your profile and change your profile picture. If you’ve forgotten your user name or password, you can either reset it yourself or contact us at [email protected]

Q: Is there a specific way I should progress through each lesson?

A: You must mark each item (videos, readings and practices) complete before you can take the quiz. You can take the quiz as many times as you like, but need to pass the quiz to be able to proceed to the next lesson. If you try to continue to the next lesson without passing the quiz at 80% or more, you’ll be given the option to enter auditing mode. In auditing mode, you’re free to move through the lessons without taking the quizzes, but you won’t receive a certificate of completion at the end.

Q: What is auditing mode? And how do I get my certificate of completion?

A: When you attempt to go to the next lesson without having finished the quiz, you will be asked if you would like to enter auditing mode. In auditing mode, you will have the flexibility to take part in the lessons without completing the quizzes, but you will not receive the certificate of completion at the end of the course. If you later decide you would like the certificate, you can simply go back to the quizzes you skipped and pass them at 80% or higher. Once certificates become available, just go to the main course page and click the “Print your certificate!” button. This will open a PDF of your signed certificate in a new window.

Q: How do I get my free copy of the book associated with the course?

A: A limited number of our courses offer a free copy of a book associated with the course or a discount on the instructor’s books to students who purchased the stand-alone course. You will have received information on how to get your free book or discount in an email from us. If you have questions about this, please email us at [email protected]

Q: What technical requirements are there for taking the course?

A: For an optimal experience, you’ll need to have cookies and JavaScript enabled on your device. We also recommend that you use a modern browser (you can find one at www.browsehappy.com). If you get an error message about security certificates in the Academy shopping cart or while logging in, please make sure that your browser and operating system support the latest methods of encryption (you can check your compatibility here: www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/viewMyClient.html).

Q: What is your refund policy?

A: If you’ve purchased a stand-alone course offer a 50% refund before a course has launched and during the week following the release of the first lesson. After lesson 2 is released, refunds cannot be given.
