Karl Brunnhölzl is a teacher, interpreter, and translator in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition. Originally trained as a medical doctor, Karl studied Tibetan language and Buddhist philosophy at the Marpa Institute for Translators in Kathmandu, founded by Khenpo Tsultrim Gyamtso Rinpoche. He is the author and translator of several publications, including Luminous Heart, Gone Beyond, Groundless Paths, The Heart Attack Sutra, and A Lullaby to Awaken the Heart: The Aspiration Prayer of Samantabhadra and Its Commentaries.
